US prefers Pinoy nurses

HOSPITALS in the United States still prefer Filipino nurses.

The St. Georges Recruitment International Inc. said representatives from Cambridge Healthcare will be in Manila soon to interview nurses and physical and occupational therapists for deployment to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the U.S.

Its local recruitment agency in Manila will entertain walk-in applicants with experience in the ICU/CCU, Telemetry, and ER for screening and evaluation. Cambridge Healthcare officials will choose from among the accepted applications.

Those who will pass the requirements will be flown to the US within four to six months under an H1B working visa. Benefits include housing allowance, a 36 to 40-hour work week, overtime pay and paid legal, licensing and testing fees.

Competitive salaries await applicants with experience and skills.

Nurses and therapists must have at least one year experience in any specialty area or working as volunteers in a 100-bed capacity hospital. Priority shall be given to NCLEX, IELTS and NTPE, NBCOT and TOEFL/IBT passers.
